The first Inverness Highland Ball since 2018 was held on 26th March 2022. It was well attended with dancers from all over Scotland and beyond, coming along to celebrate an evening of Scottish Country Dancing in the beautiful surroundings of the Drumossie Hotel.

The sound of the pipes, played by Iain Hamilton, welcomed everyone into the Hotel where a drinks reception was being served.

We then had a superb meal served by the Hotel followed by a wonderful night of Scottish Country Dancing to the music of Marian Anderson's Band.

The dancing was preceded by a Grand March, led by our Piper, which set the tone for a delightful night of dancing. To keep us right, all the dances were ably re-capped by Peggy Rose and Marie Macdonald.

What a good night it was and wonderful for us to see everyone enjoying themselves after such a long wait. How excited we were to be finally running the Ball in 2022 despite Covid.

We are now looking forward to the next Ball scheduled for Saturday 29th March 2025 in the Drumossie Hotel Inverness again dancing to the music of Marian Anderson and her Band.
